What is dotKot?
A growth-intelligence and investment-navigation layer for private markets. dotKot aggregates operational startup data — product, growth, hiring, risk — tracks it over time, and turns it into an explainable readiness score and clear investor signals.
Signals→Facts→Context→Investor decides
Is dotKot a rating app or an auto-investing tool?
No. dotKot is not a startup rating app, and it does not make investment decisions for you. It surfaces evidence and context — the investor makes the call.
Who is it for?
Both sides of the table, on one data spine. Investors get portfolio monitoring, signals and capital-allocation support. Founders get growth tracking, readiness stages and funding preparation.
Where does the data come from?
From public and native sources — LinkedIn, GitHub, app stores, news APIs and similar — structured into a single profile per startup and tracked continuously, with history and snapshots so trends are visible, not just current values.
How does scoring work?
It's explainable and criterion-based, not a black-box composite. Every score traces down to the criteria behind it, the signals feeding each criterion, and the source URL behind each signal. No unexplained verdicts.
What are signals?
Atomic, observable facts about a startup — momentum, execution and risk movement. When they move, they become timing signals: when to enter, when to watch, when to exit.
If I'm a founder, can investors see everything about me?
No — and you stay in control. Founders see only their own progress (phase, progress to target, recommendations), never the investor lens on them. What you share with investors is governed by a publication toggle you control. Financials stay private unless you explicitly publish them.
What happens to my data?
We don't sell it, don't use it for advertising, and don't pass it to other investors or startups without your explicit consent. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How much does it cost?
The investor side is a subscription with tiered plans. The founder side is free. Exact pricing is finalized ahead of launch — get in touch for early access.
